SECURITY POLICY

As the name connotes, security policy has to do with the company’s blueprint mapped out to checkmate security lapses. And in order to ensure an adequate provision for the security of personnel, equipment and materials in all our operations, Nadim Motors maintains a combined team of locally trained security guards and the Nigerian police for security matters that are complex. The security personnel are authorized amongst other things.

1. To conduct searches on individuals and their personal effects when entering Nadim premises even without prior notice.

2. This security provision is not limited to workshop alone but is also extended to all equipment, personnel and materials in transit.

3. Independent security training shall be organized quarterly to update the workers on security measures.

4. Adequate security devices shall be provided in project vehicles and other transport equipment.

5. All security default shall be reported, investigated and action taken to prevent re-occurrence.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION POLICY

The environment plays an important role in the things we do and the protection of our immediate work environment is as important as the operation. We at Nadim strive to maintain the environment. Apart from being environmental friendly, we try to:

1. Avoid any sort of pollution in our operation.

2. Manage our waste properly.

3. Educate our employees on how best to protect the environment. CASHES AUDIT POLICY: Audit policy is a process and procedures by which tools, equipment and personnel are audited from time to time to keep them in good working condition. It is the policy of Nadim Motors to carry out periodic audit and in doing this, (i) All front line supervisors are mandated to carry out site HSE audit on weekly / monthly / quarterly basis and make reports and follow up to ensure corrective measures are implemented in good time. (ii.) It is the responsibility of the work force to carry out HSE audit both in and outside their dept area of operation and report to site HSE officer or their immediate supervisor. (iii.) This policy shall apply to the entire work force and all are required to read, understand, and abide by this policy.

4. Co-operate with other companies and corporate bodies to achieve the above.

5. Raise public awareness and promoting understanding of the essential linkages between environment and development.

6. Conserving and using the environment for the benefit of present and future generations.

 

HSE POLICY HSE

Is of an integral business at Nadim Motors Limited. Nadim Motors recognizes the hazardous nature of its operations- both mechanical and non-mechanical related and the adverse consequences of its failure to observe, check and control or completely eliminate the acts and conditions that could result in accidents or incidents. Thus in principle, the prevention of accidents would start with the active commitment of our management and all to:

1. HSE is of equal importance to other business activities.

2. HSE management is line responsibility.

3. Everybody is responsible for HSE.

4. No activity shall be carried out unless considered safe.

5. Safeguarding the health and safety of all employees, contractors and third parties.

6. Strive to minimize the impact of activities on the environment.

7. Maintain good relationship with host communities.

8. Strive to enhance security of life and equipment.

9. Our belief that every job can be done safely.

 

STOP WORK POLICY

Stopping work in any organization has been an issue deliberated upon for some time now. Stopping work has negative effect both on the employer and the employees. Apart from making it possible for the employer to loose man – hours, it also affect the completion time of the operation.

At Nadim, the policy could only be realizable in the event of;

A. If there is chaos that refuse to be resolved.

B. There is impending danger if the operation is to be carried out.

C. When there is a community crisis.

D. Accident that causes fatality.

E. Emergency that threatening the organization or fire.

F. Only the approved personnel in consultation with the relevant authority can stop work.

G. During Drills.

 

PROCEDURE POLICY

Procedure policy entails the way and manner through which things are done orderly to avoid accident incident. At Nadim Motors, this policy is fostered and is an integral part of the HSE system and it aim at and not limited to:

1. Following approved codes of work especially with regards to standard and code applicable to our mechanical and maintenance jobs.

2. Operate the Permit To Work (PTW) system effectively such that operational hazards are identified at their early stage and addressed.

3. The use of safe tools electrically operated and manual tools will be of such a standard that their potential to cause harm will be greatly reduced.

4. Provision of work plan and procedures to be in line with Nadim Motors requirement.

5. Only certified and tested materials will be used for all our operations.

 

ACCESS CONTROL POLICY

Access control is a mean through which visitor’s access to Nadim offices, operational bases are being controlled. Some designated places within the operational base are sometimes restricted from certain individual to avoid complication. It is Nadim policy to restrict certain places where visitors will be exposed to danger or where they will constitute a safety threat. The procedure does not aim at keeping people away but to help maintain a good relationship with our client and to help foster a good safety principles.

 

DRIVING POLICY

It is the driving policy of Nadim Motors to ensure that accidents/incidents are reduced to its barest minimum through careful implementation of good driving policy. And to do this, certain laid down rules and regulations guiding good and defensive driving must be observed by all and sundry in Nadim Motors. Thus;

1. All drivers must have valid driving license.

2. No body is allowed to drive under the influence of alcohol.

3. it is an offence for any staff to mortgage the company’s journey management produce.

4. Vehicle should be checked before embarking on any journey.

5. The use of seat belt is compulsory.

6. Workers are sent to driving course from time to time to update their driving knowledge.

7. It is not encourage in Nadim Motors to drive when one is feeling fatique and tired.

 

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH POLICY

Health plays am important role in all our operations and here, health means a state of complete well being of a person. It does not only mean the absence of diseases or illness but also a clear state of optimum physical and mental well being. Occupational health which is a branch of human medicine deals with protection and promotion of the health of all persons at work including employers.

Nadim Motors occupational health policy aims at;

i. Promoting and maintaining the well being (health) of the workers and employers.

ii. Preventing occupational (work-related) disease and injuries at the work place.

iii. Protecting every individual at the work place against hazard.

iv. Planning and maintaining the work place.

v. Adapting the work to man and man to work.
